Yankees-Red Sox

Last night I sat at Yankee Stadium for 5 plus hours only to see the Bronx Bombers come up short, again, against the Red Sox. Although I did spot a few celebs during the game, including Steven Schirripa, cue Sopranos theme song, and the Terps very own Dave Sollazzo, who was sitting one section to the right of me for 3 innings. I couldn't drink my 10 dollar beers fast enough to work up enough courage to introduce myself to the greatest D-Line coach in all of football, but you bet your ass he was rocking an under armour Maryland Football sweatshirt and drinking Miller Lites.

On to the game, which I have a few opinions about. First, I couldn't believe how many people left the game either before it started or when the Sox scored 1 run every inning for the first three innings. I was wearing shorts and a weak rain jacket and froze my ass off until the last out was made. I realize it was a Monday and people have to work, but so did I, and they were all dressed a lot warmer than I was. If people are going to criticize the players I think the fans need to show some passion as well, slackasses.

Second, I can't decide if Red Sox fans are lightweights, crazy, just plain stupid or a combination of all three. I saw some Sawx fan get his ass beat in the left field stands because he was probably drunk and feeling strong, the only problem was there were five Yankees fans surrounding him who beat his ass no problem. And because as a Sox fan at Yankee Stadium is a minority, the police can't protect him, so they arrest the Sox fan and escort his beaten ass out of the stadium. Sit there and watch the damn game, and if you can handle verbal abuse, feel free to cheer for the Sox, but you can't talk sh*t like your Kimbo Slice. Massholes.

Game analysis. I think Jose Molina was the downfall of Bronx Bombers last night because of his defensive miscues, for someone who is normally a great defensive catcher (which he has to be since his offense isn't worth a damn). I'm pretty sure Phil Hughes was putting the pitches were Molina wanted them, and obviously they were located in prime time spots for the Red Sox batters. This lead to an extremely high pitch count early and you know what that means, cue the beat down bullpen.

Tonight is another chance to put an end to this fluke of us losing to an inferior team. I know we are better than them, but we just haven't been playing the way we are capable. Just remember, they could beat us every time during the 162 game season, but when you get to the playoffs, were both teams will be, those games mean nothing. This isn't a Flapjack guarantee, because we all know those are only at a 60% clip, this is a guarantee from the Big Guy, Yankees win tonight. Hopefully the game is delayed two hours again because the Big Guy has to attend another social function until 9.
