Hal Steinbrenner: Tickets might be overpriced

Hal Steinbrenner thinks that a "small" portion of Yankees tickets might be overpriced given the state of the economy.

Alright, let it be know I am a huge Yankees fan. I watch every game, I was at the World Series in game 6 when we beat the Braves, I watched every game on mlb.tv since it was invented because I lived in Maryland. I watch spring training games, I watch Yankees Classics from before I was born on the YES network now that I live in NY. I have a life size Derek Jeter cut out, and yes I have A-Rod's children book, which I have read. I love the Yankees more than life itself.

Are you F**King kidding me??? A "small" amount of Yankees tickets might be overpriced?????? Luckily now I am a few subway stops away from getting to the new Yankee Stadium, but other people that have to drive could probably buy front row seats to an Orioles game for the price of parking alone at Yankee Stadium. The other thing is I am sure Hal is talking about the luxury boxes, which by themselves probably bought us CC, AJ and Teixeira this off season. People that buy season tickets to luxury boxes don't have problems with overpriced tickets.

Listen, there was nothing like going to "the old" Yankee Stadium, and from what I've heard the new stadium is going to be unreal, but everything is overpriced. Every ticket, every parking space, every beer, everything. When was the last time you paid $48 dollars for a six pack of beer?? Answer: The last time you drank six beers at Yankee Stadium.

That said, I don't care about the prices for two reasons. 1. The Yankees organization has a simple approach: Win Championships & Make Money. Love them or hate them, they do both. I love the championships, so if I have to pay 8 bucks for a beer knowing its going directly into CC's bank account, thats fine with me. 2. We are so F**cking good this year, I'm thinking about saving all of my money I would spend on going to multiple games, and buying one ticket to the ALCS against the Red Sox, and one ticket to the World Series against whatever trash team comes out of the NL.

All I'm asking is for Hal to come out and admit that everything is overpriced. My Maryland coach used to say "You can bullsh*t the baker and you might get a bun, but if you bullsh*t me, you get none". He only said this when he knew you were BS ing him, and then he would say "Do I look like the F*CKING baker to you?" He was a genius, but thats besides the point. Don't BS me Hal, don't tell me the f*cking ticket I'll spend 2 large on for one game is not overpriced. Tell it to me straight. You might write the checks, but we the fans fund your bank account for the most part. And I am not the F*CKing baker!!!!!
