All Bark, No Bite for Beckett and the Sox

In yesterday's Red Sox - Angels game there was some extra-curricular activites early on involving Sox ace Josh Beckett and Angels outfielder Bobby Abreu. In the bottom of the 1st inning with a runner on second and 1 out for the Angels, pitcher Josh Beckett checked the runner for about 12 seconds before the home plate umpire called for time. Beckett then throws some high heat at Abreu's head, words are exchanged and the benches clear.

Lets analyze why Beckett is to blame for all of this and should have got ejected from the game, instead of half the damn Angels team. First of all, what the hell are you doing checking the runner for this long anyway? I mean we know Varitek probably couldn't throw me out if I tried to steal 3rd, but come on 12 seconds?? Second, when the umpire called time out Beckett was looking straight in at the plate, got a lock on Abreu's head and fired. And finally, Beckett is the reason the benches cleared, because he is another bitch pitcher who thinks they can mouth off to a monster like Bobby Abreu and get away with it.

I would take Abreu and Torii Hunter against Beckett, Varitek and the rest of the Sox infield in a heart beat. Mike Lowell would turn to dust if Torii Hunter even raised a fist to him, Pedroia is almost small enough to legally declare himself a midget, I don't even consider Nick Green a MLB player, and maybe they have to double up on the only threat, Youkilis.

After all that the Red Sox did what they are going to best this year, lose. Look at the picture below and you will see that Josh Beckett is a f*cking loser.
