Flapjacks Fantasty Football Preview - RBs 6-10

#6 - Steven Jackson: '08 - 1,043 yds 7 tds. 379 rec yds 1 td
The major concern here is whether or not he can stay healthy. There is no doubt Jackson can produce when he's on the field, but he only played in 12 games each of the past two seasons. Although he did still put up over 1,000 yds in each of those seasons. Look for him to be more involved in the passing game too, now that Holt is gone.
2009 prediction - 1,200 yds 10 tds. 420 rec yds 2 tds
#7 - LaDainian Tomlinson: '08 - 1,110 yds 11 tds. 426 rec yds 1 td
Last year was concerned an awful year by most for LT and he still produce over 1,500 total yds and 12 tds...not bad. He's motivated after his dispute with management and Sproles will help keep him fresh. He may not be the sexiest of picks, but he does produce.
2009 prediction - 1,250 yds 10 tds. 300 rec yds 1 td
#8 - Frank Gore: '08 - 1,036 yds 6 tds. 373 rec yds 2 tds
Injuries can be a bit worrisome with Gore. He missed 2 games last year with an ankle injury and was in an offense that passed 56% of the time and still produced. With a new offensive coordinator with a run first mentality, Gore should see the ball plenty.
2009 prediction - 1,200 yds 8 tds. 350 rec yds 2 tds
#9 - Steve Slaton: '08 - 1,282 yds 9 tds. 377 rec yds 1 td
Slaton was a huge surprise last year as a rookie. He is tiny, listed at only 190 lbs and concerns of durability are there. I'm not sure if he'll get quite as many goal line carries this year as Kubiak has said he wants to rest Slaton a bit more so he doesn't wear down. At #9 though, I think Slaton is a great pick.
2009 prediction - 1,150 yds 7 tds. 360 rec yds 2 tds
#10 - Chris Johnson: '08 - 1,228 yds 9 tds. 260 rec yds 1 td
Fantastic when he gets an opening. Probably the fastest back in the NFL, while averaging 4.9 yds per carry. The biggest concern with Johnson is the presence of LenDale White, who had 15 tds last season. Chances of White scoring 15 times again isn't likely, but it's still a concern. Johnson will produce regardless of White's role and at #10 is a great value.
2009 prediction - 1,250 yds 8 tds. 200 rec yds 1 td
