Woman Sets Craps Record

I've been to Vegas and AC quite a bit. I've done my share of craps playing and like to think that I know what I'm doing for the most part. However, the longest I've played craps for without crapping out would probably be around 10 minutes. A lot of times I'll crap out on the 5th or 6th roll and that's that. Maybe I'm just not very lucky, who knows?
I just find it very fishy that some woman could play craps and not crap out for over 4 hours!!
Have you ever played craps with someone who didn't crap out in 20 minutes? A half hour? Those are long periods of time...but over 4 hours?!
I'm suggesting a conspiracy. The Borgata and every other hotel in AC and Vegas has been getting pummeled lately because of the recession. The Borgata needed to stir things up and try to get the crowds back in their casino.
Maybe it was trick dice with a table full of employees so they actually wouldn't lose that money, who knows?
Imagine how much money they would have actually lost if someone didn't crap out for 4 hours!
Next time you're playing craps see how it takes before each person at your table craps out. Then imagine someone not crapping out for over 4 hours...impossible!

Friday Guarantees

Flapjack went 1 for 2 yesterday, which make us 34-27 (56%) overall. We've got 2 games for you today....both upset picks.

Marlins vs Cubs
THE PICK: MARLINS +240
The Cubs are big favorites here and I assume it's because Rich Harden is pitching for them. However, the Cubs offense, bullpen, and defense have all been struggling lately. I like the Marlins assuming that Graham Taylor can make it till the 4th inning.
Hawks vs Heat
THE PICK: HAWKS +180
The Heat are at home, but I don't care. Dwayne Wade has been the only player showing up for the Heat all series and now he's banged up too. I like the Hawks to close it out tonight.

Thursday Guarantees!

Flapjack is now 33-26 (56%) We've hit a bit of a rough patch lately, but I'm feeling very good about these two games today.
Blue Jays vs Royals
THE PICK: ROYALS -140
The Royals have one of the best young rotations in the majors. They just need a little bit of offense to go with it, and they certainly got that yesterday. Let's hope they saved some for today. They're going against Brian Burres, who they picked up off of waivers and has a 12.46 era.
Magic vs Sixers
THE PICK: SIXERS -5.5
As you probably know, the Magic are with Dwight Howard, which is huge. They're also without guard Courtney Lee as well, which is bigger than most people think. I think the Sixers win by double digits with my man Dalembert controlling the middle.

Wednesday Guarantees

Flapjack is now 32-25 (56%) Not our finest percentage, but going to get back on track here today. We've got 2 winners for you.

Angels vs. Orioles

THE PICK: ORIOLES -156

Marlins vs. Mets

THE PICK: MARLINS +157

No need for explanations today. O's win assuming they don't get rained out and Josh Johnson and the Marlins take down Santana and the Mets.

Monday Guarantees

Flapjack dropped to 32-23 overall (57%) on Friday. No matter, we've got 3 winners for you today!
Hawks vs Heat
THE PICK: HEAT -4.5
The Heat are looking good and the Hawks look completely disinterested last game. Apparently the Hawks had a no curfew rule in Miami. I would hope they changed that, if that was the case. Either way Heat win and cover.
Nuggets vs Hornets
THE PICK: NUGGETS +2.5
Upset Special of the Day. Nuggets getting 2.5 at New Orleans. The Nuggets are a very good team and I don't think they get the respect they deserve. Nuggets not only cover, but win this game outright.
Jazz vs Lakers
THE PICK: LAKERS -12.5
The Lakers average margin of victory in their 3 wins is just over 13 points. I think Kobe saw LeBron and the Cavs dominate the Pistons and Kobe wants to do the same thing. Just as they dominated game 4 in Utah, the Lakers will blow out the Jazz in LA and cover.

Friday, April 24, 2009

Friday Guarantees

Flapjack fell to 31-21 (60%) yesterday thanks to Adam Eatons performance of a lifetime. No matter, we have 3 sure things for you today.

Cavs vs Pistons
THE PICK: CAVS -4.5
The Cavs are favored by 4.5 points, they should cover that spread easily. LeBron is on a mission this postseason and he wants to win every game by as much as possible. Cavs win easily.
Magic vs Sixers
THE PICK: MAGIC -3.5
As I said yesterday, those t-shirts are just going to piss Dwight Howard off. He'll have his best game of the series and the Magic will cover the spread.
Cubs vs Cardinals
THE PICK: CUBS +114
Upset Special of the Day! 1-1 on Upset Specials thanks to the Brewers yesterday. I like Ryan Dempster and the Cubs here. The Cubs lead the season series so far 2-1 and look to bounce back from a 7-1 defeat at Cincinnati yesterday.

Thursday, April 23, 2009

Thursday Guarantees

I'm liking these early start times, gives me some entertainment at work. Flapjack had his second consecutive rough outing yesterday going 1 for 3. That brings our record to 30-19 (61%) Still can't believe the Caps lost last night...2 shots off the post! And the f**king A's in the 14th!!

Royals vs Indians
THE PICK: ROYALS -103
This is actually a minor upset pick, as the Indians are favored at -107. I like Gil Meche for the offensively challenged Royals. He's been solid so far this year with a 2.25 era. If KC can give him 4 runs, he wins.
Brewers vs Phillies
THE PICK: BREWERS +155
Upset special of the day! The A's hosed me in the 14th last night for yesterdays upset pick. Cole Hamels has not looked good this season. I think his arm is still bothering him and it's shown. This series is ties 1-1 and as long as Dave Bush can get out of the first inning unscathed, I think he'll be ok.
White Sox vs Orioles
THE PICK: WHITE SOX -112
Bartolo Colon is going for the Sox and believe me, I know he's not very good. However, Adam Eaton is going for the O's and he's even worse. Simple as that. I will never bet on Adam Eaton this entire season, he's that bad.

Wednesday, April 22, 2009

Wednesday Guarantees

Flapjack didn't have his best day yesterday, going 1 for 3. That makes us 29-17 overall (63%) I've learned my lesson and will never again bet on Manny Parra. We've got 3 games for you today....looking for a perfect 3 for 3.

Twins vs Red Sox
THE PICK: RED SOX -154
Timmy Wakefield going for the Sox against Scott Baker (0-1, 13.50 era) and the Twins. Red Sox offense looks to be getting some life back in it. Wakefield looked great in his last outing, going all 9 innings while only giving up 2 runs in a 8-2 win over the A's. I like the Red Sox at home.
A's vs Yankees
THE PICK: A'S +215
Upset special of the day. CC is going at home for the Yanks. CC has a career record of 3-7 vs the A's with a 6.12 era in 15 outings. Brett Anderson (0-2, 3.57 era) is making his 3rd career start for the A's. He went 7 innings and only gave up 2 runs to Boston in his last start. I like Anderson to stifle the Yanks today at the new Stadium. I'm sure Chrisumd23 will not like this one.
Caps vs Rangers
THE PICK: CAPS -130
I like to Caps to win their second game in a row and even this series at 2. Alex will get his first goal of the series and Varlamov will continue his great goal tending.

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Tuesday Guarantees

Flapjack went 2-0 yesterday improving to 28-15 overall. (65%) We've got 3 games for you today...

Brewers vs Phillies
THE PICK: BREWERS +119
Manny Parra has hosed me before as his 0-2 record and 6.97 era indicate. But, I still like him and the Brew Crew over Jamie Moyer and the Phillies. Moyer hasn't been much better at 1-1 with a 6.55 era and I just like the Milwaukee offense in this one.
Dodgers vs. Astros
THE PICK: DODGERS -163
Clayton Kershaw for the Dodgers is the real deal. Russ Ortiz for the Astros, on the other hand, is not. LA wins easily.
White Sox vs Orioles
THE PICK: ORIOLES -105
Joes Contreras (0-2, 6.97 era) is going for the Sox and that should be all you need to know. However, the O's are starting Brad Bergesen who they just called up, so this game could be interesting. I like the big 3 of the O's - Roberts, Markakis, and Jones to lead the way.

Monday, April 20, 2009

Monday Guarantees

Flapjack went 2-0 on Friday to improve to 26-15 overall. (63%) I've got one hockey and one baseball game for you today.

Caps vs Rangers
THE PICK: CAPITALS -125
There is no way the Capitals should/will lose 3 games in a row to the Rangers. The Caps won the regular season series 3-1. It's only a matter of time before the Caps offense finds its groove. This is a must win for the Caps and I think they play how they're capable of playing tonight.
Reds vs Astros
THE PICK: REDS +120
Mike Hampton who is terrible is pitching for the Astros. That's basically all you need to know. Hampton has been decent so far this year, but the Houston offense has been non existent. I like Bronson Arroyo and the Reds.

Friday, April 17, 2009

Friday Guarantees

Flapjack had a rough Wednesday, only picking 1 of 4 games correctly. Jose (effing) Theodore hosed me in the Caps game!! That drops my overall record to 24-15 (62%). I got 2 for you today, should be an easy 2-0.
Indians vs Yankees
THE PICK: YANKEES -220
I'm always nervous about picking the Yankees. I feel like they should be better than they are, and they always under-preform. However, I don't see them losing 2 in a row at the new stadium and Joba looked pretty good in his last start. The Yankees have to be able to take advantage of sh*tty Cleveland pitching. Oh, and I'll give Joba's girl above a 4.47. She's pretty solid.
Marlins vs Nats
THE PICK: MARLINS -132
I'm not sure why the Marlins are not bigger favorites in this game? The Nats are throwing their "ace" John Lannan out there today. And by "ace" I mean he's 0-2 with a 10.00 era going up against arguably the best team in the majors. Again, this should be a piece of cake for Florida.

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

Wednesday Guarantees

Flapjack had another winning day at 2 for 3 yesterday. Would have been 3 for 3 is Chris Carpenter didn't leave the game after the third inning b/c of an injury. Either way, we improved to 23-12 overall, picking winners 66% of the time. We got 4 picks for you today, including a hockey selection since it's playoff time here in DC.
White Sox vs. Tigers
THE PICK: TIGERS -164
Jose Contreras is pitching for the White Sox today and that is all I really need to say about this game. The Tigers should win easily.
Cubs vs. Rockies
THE PICK: CUBS -220
Rich Harden is going for the Cubs and it looks like Derek Lees bat finally may be coming alive after going 2-3 Monday night.
Indians vs. Royals
THE PICK: ROYALS +110
Fat boy Ponson is going for the Royals today. I know I called him out the other day, but he actually hasn't been awful. His era is 6.00, but the Indians don't offer too much resistance with their lineup and the Tribe is throwing a rookie up there on the mound.
Rangers vs. Caps
THE PICK: CAPS -175
The Caps finished with a 3-1 record against the Rangers this season and as long as Jose Theodore doesn't completely suck, the Caps should win.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Tuesdays MLB Gurantees

The big flapjack went 3-4 yesterday, with only the Nats hosing me out of a perfect day. I blame Saul Rivera completely for the Nats loss yesterday, he is terrible!! Oh well, we still improved to 21-11 overall = 66% and we have 3 more picks for you today.

White Sox vs. Tigers
THE PICK: WHITE SOX -125
The White Sox should put up a lot of run again today and John Danks has looked good early on and should hold the Tigers and Miguel Cabrera in check.
Marlins vs. Braves
THE PICK: MARLINS +142
The Braves are a surprising 5-1 to start the year, but then again, so are the Marlins. I'm counting on the Marlins great starting pitching and the Braves shaky bullpen to be the difference in this one.
Cardinals vs. Diamondbacks
THE PICK: CARDINALS -134
The Cardinals are off to 6-2 start while the Diamondbacks are struggling at 2-5. St. Louis has Chris Carpenter going who looked great in his debut. The Dbacks are starting Max Scherzer, who is just coming off the DL.
Since the White Sox and Tigers got postponed, I'll throw one more bet out there for ya.
Orioles vs. Rangers
Over/Under 11
THE PICK: OVER 11 runs scored

Monday, April 13, 2009

MLB's Monday Guarantees

Flapjack went 2-0 on Friday to improve to 18-10 overall. Picking winners 64% of the time. We're feeling confident today and going with 4 games today. And yes, I'm picking the Nats to get their first win of the season against the defending champs.

Phillies vs. Nats
THE PICK: NATS - even
The Phillies have not played well at all here early on...at all. The Nats have not been any better, clearly. However, today is their home opener, it's a beautiful day here in DC, and they're going against Jamie Moyer. I'm taking the Nats!!
Astros vs. Pirates
THE PICK: PIRATES -145
The Pirates aren't very good, but the Astros and Brian Moehler are even worst. I'm taking Pittsburgh at home.
Giants vs. Dodgers
THE PICK: DODGERS -178
The Giants surprisingly have looked like one of the worst teams in baseball early on. Chad Billingsley looked strong in his debut for LA. I like the Dodgers here.
Indians vs. Royals
THE PICK: ROYALS -133
I think the Royals will surprise some people this year. And I really like Zack Greinke as well, KC at home over The Tribe.

Friday Baseball Guarantees

Flapjack went 2-3 yesterday, only missing on the Brewers pick. My boy Manny Parra let me down! That moves our record to 16-10 (62%)
I've got 2 surefire guarantees for you today!

Braves vs. Nats
THE PICK: BRAVES -220
If the Nats somehow beat Derek Lowe and the Braves tonight in Atlanta, I retire from betting for good.
Yankees vs. Royals
THE PICK: Yankees -175
We have roider Pettitte going against fat boy Sidney Ponson. Again, this should be a no-contest. The Yanks have been hitting well in their first 3 games and finally got some decent pitching last night. As long as Pettitte can give them 5 or 6 solid innings, Yanks should win easily.

Thursday, April 9, 2009

Baseball Guarantees

Flapjack finished with a record of 14-9 (61%) for the NCAA tournament. Now it's on to baseball season and I've got 3 winners for you.
Yankees vs. Orioles
THE PICK: YANKEES -176
There is absolutely no way the freaking Balitmore Orioles are beating CC, Wang, and Burnett back to back to back. Can not happen!! Or are the Yankees actually this bad? I guess we'll find out today.
Brewers vs. Giants
THE PICK: BREWERS +103
Yes, the Brewers are an awful team, but so are the Giants. The difference will be the man, the myth, the legend Manny Parra. You heard it hear first.
Cardinals vs. Pirates
THE PICK: CARDINALS -195
The Pirates are a joke and Chris Carpenter is pitching for St. Louis. Should be a gimmie.
