Brazil Defeats US 3-2

The US lost, which is no surprise to anyone. Brazil dicked around in the first half and found themselves in a hole at the break. They came out in the second half, scored in the first minute and it was on from there.

Brazil outshot the US 24-8. 11 on goal to 4.

Tim Howard is a monster and came up huge. However, when you get bombarded with shot after shot, there's only so much you can do.

USA Soccer Stuns Spain

I haven't watched a soccer game for more than 30 seconds in probably 15 years, but I heard the USA was playing "the Great" Spain team and I figured I would check it out. Listening to the radio this morning, The Herd on ESPN, and Colin gave me his preview of the game, which he may have to apologize for in the morning.

He painted a picture for non-soccer followers by saying this game would be like a basketball team with 1 NBA player on it trying to beat The Dream Team. I will let you figure out which team he had the USA as in that comparison.

Congratulations to the USA for winning. However, I fully expect every Sports Guy who predicted a beat down to simply cover their ass by saying soccer will never be popular in the US, and unfortunately they are right about that one.

USA Advances to Face Spain

After getting smoked by Italy and Brazil, the US somehow still advanced to the semis of the Confederations Cup, where they'll most likely get smoked again....this time by Spain.

Apparently this guy wearing mini jean shorts and a bikini top (?) is a star for powerhouse Man. United.

Who says soccer players are gay?? This outfit is totally acceptable and not gay at all.

This Guy Is Alright At Soccer

Maybe I should know who this guy is, maybe I shouldn't? I don't really know because I don't pay any attention to soccer. I do know this though - this guy is pretty good at kicking a ball.

Soccer Players Are Tough

This is why 99% of Americans hate soccer. They're all a bunch of p*ssies! They all flop worse that Wojo at Duke. At least most of the time in basketball there is some contact, minimal as it may be. The guy here didn't even touch the other player. Just add it to the list of why soccer will never take off in the States.

Soccer Coach Punches Referee

There are a couple of things about this video. First, soccer players are the biggest pansies of any sport. Period. #6 in the blue jersey gets bumped into by a fat old man and he's on the ground withering in pain for 5 minutes. Get the f**k up and knock the dude down or at least stay on your feet and take it like a man.

The ref, who is by no means a professional athlete, gets cold-cocked right in his jaw and you don't see him crying and rolling around on the ground. He took one step back, shook it off and told the coach to get the f**k off his field.

#6 should be embarrassed to call himself a man. His own teammate, #4 knows he's a puss. He doesn't even glance down at him to see if he's ok. He goes out of his way to step over his teammate and tells the coach to hand over the ball, fat boy.
