Shaq Going to Cavs

Thats right, the picture on the left is a preview of what the Cavs are going to look like next season. Shaq is going to the Cavs and next year's NBA season is shaping up to be an entertaining one.

I'm pretty sure all Shaq needs to do for the entire regular season is stay in shape, shoot free throws and hook shots at practice, and play one game every five to ten games just to stay fresh. Lebron can carry the Cavs into the playoffs as a 2 or 3 seed, and then they can unleash Big Diesel in the playoffs.

With that said I don't think this alone will make them the clear cut favorite, but it sure as hell puts them in the conversation. Spurs, Cavs, Celtics, and Lakers are the top contenders, and watch out for the Knicks of course. The draft could also have an impact, so stay tuned for that tonight.

Lebron Likely Off Free Agent Market in Summer 2010

For the same reason Lebron skipped college to go straight to the NBA, is going to end up being the same reason he remains in Cleveland for the long haul; MONEY.

An investment group from China has reached a deal to become part owner of the Cavs franchise and Quicken Loans Arena. This means a few things. First, this group probably would not have invested this much money in the Cavs unless they were pretty sure King James was staying in Cleveland. Why would they be so sure that King James isn't going to leave for a bigger market like New York or Los Angeles? Because he has a bigger market by putting on a Cavs jersey and coming to work. Now his market is bigger than NY and LA combined because it is "global".

Lebron wants to become the first "billionaire" athlete and he may just be able to cross that off his list of goals (probably before he wins an NBA Championship at this rate). Now everything "Lebron" will be marketed in China, where the NBA's popularity has been growing since Yao Ming burst onto the scene. So much for my Knicks picking up Lebron, oh well, at least I will always have the Yankees.

LeBron - More Ridiculousness

As if LeBron wasn't already the best basketball player in the world. He just wanted to go out and make sure we all know how sick he actually is. Where is he shooting these from? The fourth row?? Most people would be lucky to get that shot anywhere in the vicinity of the hoop. LeBron - no problem. Take that Kobe...when is the LeBron Doin Work movie coming out??

Here's Nike's new MVP commercial. Personally I think it's kind of stupid. If the heading didn't say Kobe and LeBron Puppets and there wasn't a pillow that said "Kobe" on the chair, I would have had no idea the guy in the hat was Kobe. Maybe that's just me though?
