Apple's WWDC

Apple is hosting their annual Worldwide Developers Confernce in San Francisco from June 8th - 12th. Every year during the WWDC Apple makes a huge announcement. Last year they announced the the 3G and the App Store, so who knows what they have store for this year. Is it the release date of the new phone? A new software update? Possible 4G? Who knows! But I do know, Apple will be making a big announcement sometime next week!

Google Wave

Ok, I know another technology piece... But it is that time of year! I am a little behind on this one but hey! Google just recently announced the development of the next generation of online communication/email called Google Wave. It is taking the ease of email and doing practically any form of online communication through Google Wave. My personal favorite seems to be the new and improved spell check and grammar check it can do (you can see this at the 44 minute mark in the video). I doubt most of you will watch this whole video like I did. But trust me on this, this is going to be sweet!

Microsoft Announces Project Natal at E3

Wow! I am almost speechless. Being a life long video gamer and nerd, as you can probably tell by most of my old posts, all I can say after witnessing this at E3 is WOW! For some reason I refuse to believe it will be this smooth. People were amazed by Nintendo Wii with the hand motions and such when it came out. But full body, and voice regonition that smooth. WOW! I am not sure when this is coming out, but whenever it is will be an amazing day for the world of video gaming!

AT&T Announces HSPA Upgrade!

I am very happy I have myself an IPhone. Last week AT&T announced the official relase date of OS 3.0 and now this! THE HSPA UPGRADE! AT&T is upgrading their network from 3.6Mbps to 7.2Mbps in speed. They also plan to double the size of their current 3G network so it is available in more areas. This will allow for faster online speed, and fewer dropped calls! My iPhone keeps getting better and better! This summer can't come soon enough.

iPhone OS 3.0 coming soon

Cut and paste, MMS highlight iPhone 3.0 improvements

I know the above link is old information, but it was just announced that the iPhone 3.0 is slated to come out the second week of June. The Big Cat would like to thank his inside source, Zigs, for the help. But 3.0 has been a long time coming and I think it will live up to its hype. Some of these features they have been talking about adding since the original iPhone came out. Some of the best features include:

- Being able search everything in your iPhone
- The abilitiy to cut, copy, and paste in all applications
- Send photos, contacts, audio files, and location via MMS* messaging
- Read and compose email and text messages in landscape (which will be a big help for those people who were struggling typing)
- Also peer to peer connectivity will be added for the ability to play games with people who are playing the same game in the same area as you, which will be fun for those long road trips or plane rides

I can not wait for this to come out, and I know the Big Flapjack will be excited about it too, if he ever figures out how to update his iPhone. Also, in mid July the new iPhone will be coming out! With the ability to take video and tele-conference.
