Flapjacks Fantasy Football Preview - WRs 6-10

#6 - Greg Jennings: '08 - 80 receptions, 1,292 yds 9 tds
Aaron Rodgers to Greg Jennings was a lethal combo last year and the duo should duplicate their performance this season. Green Bay loves to throw the ball and spread things out with Jennings as their main man. Jennings averaged over 16 yards per catch last season, so he can definitely make the big play. Expect a big year from him in Green Bay.
2009 prediction - 82 receptions, 1,340 yds 8 tds
#7 - Reggie Wayne: '08 - 82 receptions, 1,145 yds 6 tds
Wayne is now the #1 guy in Indy and expect him to produce like it. He should get a little more help from the running game this year, which should open things up for Wayne in the secondary. He's been Mr. Consistent with over 1,050 yds each of the past 5 years.
2009 prediction - 85 receptions 1,400 yds 7 tds
#8 - Roddy White: '08 - 88 receptions, 1,382 yds 7 tds
Matt Ryan came in and found an instant connection with Roddy White. This has all the makings of a lethal combo for years to come, as White finished fourth in the league in receiving yards last year. Defenses have to stay honest with Michael Turner running the ball too, so expect another big season from Roddy.
2009 prediction - 80 receptions, 1,320 yds 9 tds
#9 - Anquan Boldin: '08 - 89 receptions, 1,038 yds 11 tds
Boldin can obviously put up huge numbers when he's healthy...and happy. The contract issues are still a concern in Arizona and the loss of Todd Haley may not help things. Boldin has also missed 4 games each of the last 2 seasons. However, when he's healthy, he's a monster. Just keep your fingers crossed.
2009 prediction - 94 receptions, 1,200 yds 9 tds
#10 - Dwayne Bowe: '08 - 86 receptions, 1,022 yds 7 tds
Bowe had a huge season despite having the conservative Herm Edwards as a coach and despite having Tyler Thigpen and Brodie Croyle as his QBs. With offensive guru/throw happy Todd Haley at the helm and Matt Cassel things will only get better.
2009 prediction - 89 receptions, 1,195 yds 8 tds

Flapjacks Fantasy Football Preview - Top 5 WRs

#1 - Larry Fitzgerald: '08 - 96 receptions, 1,431 yds 12 tds
Larry is about as safe a choice as there is. He tied Calvin Johnson for the most receiving tds last year with 12. He should be right around that total again this year. Even though they lost offensive coordinator Todd Haley to the Chiefs, Arizona still can't run the ball. Which means Fitzgerald and Boldin will be seeing plenty of passes. Can't go wrong here.
2009 prediction - 101 receptions, 1,497 yds 14 tds
#2 - Andre Johnson: '08 - 115 receptions, 1,575 yds 8 tds
He led the league in receptions and receiving yardage last year and should be right near the top in both categories again this season. Assuming his qb (Schaub) can stay healthy for once, Johnson will be in for another monster season.
2009 prediction - 104 receptions, 1,490 yds 12 tds
#3 - Randy Moss: '08 - 69 receptions, 1,008 yds 11 tds
Moss still put up over 1,000 yds and 11 tds without Tom Brady. Luckily for him, Brady is back this season and his numbers should obviously improve. The loss of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels shouldn't' effect the offense too much. Anyone who can't figure out to get the ball to Moss and Welker is a moron.
2009 prediction - 91 receptions, 1,370 yds 14 tds
#4 - Calvin Johnson: '08 - 78 receptions, 1,331 yds 12 tds
Calvin is 6'5, 235 lbs and runs a 4.35 40 yd dash. He's a monster and put up huge numbers with Dan Orlovsky throwing him the ball last year. The Lions have improved their offensive line and their QB play will be better than last year, so Calvin will be in line for another huge season.
2009 prediction - 90 receptions, 1,390 yds 13 tds
#5 - Steve Smith: '08 - 78 receptions, 1,421 yds 6 tds
Smith put up those numbers despite being suspended for the first 2 games last season. He'll be around for all 16 this year (hopefully) so look for more of the same. His 1,421 yds were 3rd in league, although his 6 tds left a bit to be desired. Smith has finished in the top 5 for WRs three of the past four years. Expect Smith to be right around the top 5 again this season.
2009 prediction - 86 receptions, 1,400 yds 8 tds
